SFVME 405 [Solflower Computer, Inc.]

SFVME 405 is a UNIX workstation from Solflower Computer that is builtaround the SPARCengine 5 series. Its CPU board is widely used by SunMicrosystems and many Sun-clone manufacturers. At the heart of the SFVME405 is Sun Microsystems' SPARCengine 5 CPU with its computing power ratedat 64 SPECint 92, which delivers four times the performance of the SPARCIPX. The SFVME 405 extends the definition of SPARC-based computing byadding VME connectivity. A total of up to three 6U VME slots areavailable for all standard VME devices. In addition, an AFX graphicaccelerator for 24 bit color provides power for the most demandingapplications.Space-efficient, SFVME 405 fits on any desktop and offers excellentinternal expansion capabilities. The SFVME 405 enclosure box is 16 x 16x 5 inches, the size of a double height pizza box. Up to two 3.5-inchhard disks and one full-height 5.25-inch peripheral device can be mountedin the system enclosure. The SFVME 405 is Solaris 1.x- and 2.x-compatible.
